Quarter-mile Hike

As a bike-based explorer, I so often find bikable trails at the end of 'Dead End' streets. Sometimes... not so much. :)

My GPS shows Craig Road as a solid line connected here east/west. If there was ever a connection here it was a long time ago. Certainly too overgrown for biking, but a fun hike. :)

Also, don't trust your GPS!

Be sure to toggle the gear in the lower right to '720p' to watch in lovely HD.

I kept going because you never know what is 'just over there'... it could open up into a path or there could be cool ruins. :) As you might have gathered from the name, the distance was 0.25 miles from when I dismounted to when I emerged from the woods.

Check out the creepy Blair Witch treehouse around 4:24!

Near the end it sounds like I had every dog in the neighborhood on high alert. :)

Afterward, cleaning tough-as-#$%# long grasses from my derailleur. Glad I carry a multi-tool!!!!

Earlier in that same ride I saw some deer! Three total, a mom and two babies! They looked a lot closer in real life. :)
